Please be sure to review the words on the master list as well.  The students are working very hard on these words and are doing an excellent job.  The one word most students missed this week is BECAUSE.  Eat, breathe and become friends with this word!!  Thanks for all your support!!!

Reading

We will be reading from the Open Court Reading Book every week.  The week of September 7-12, 2008, we will be reading a poem titled, Janey.  Hopefully, we will be constructing our own poem as well.  The week of September 15-20, 2008, we will be reading the story The Tree House.  Our vocabulary words for the week of September 7-12 and 15-20, are from this story.  We will be taking two weeks to study our vocabulary words.  The vocabulary test will be on 9-20-08.
