During the first semester, 2nd grade classes explored the ocean and visited the Balloon Fiesta, and did some creative, colorful artwork. At Thanksgiving they looked carefully at the shapes and colors in different kinds of fruit and reflected them in tissue fruit basket collages. (See attached files.) The December Holiday Symbol weavings were very decorative (but were too large to scan in for the website).
January saw these students imagining a polar experience and making some fun, "playful penguin" pictures.
