Parent letter

5/21/08

Dear Parents,

I am overwhelmed by your sweet generosity.  Many, many thanks for the gift card to Ann Taylor Loft.  You are too much.  Your children have been the best gift of all to me this year.  Thanks for sharing them!  I am going to miss all of you very much.  I will try to stop in EHCA a few times during the year just to check in on everyone.  Please know that I will be praying for your children...

God Bless You!

Love,

Sue Hudson

Dear Parents,                                      May 7, 2008

We had a great visit to Starfire Day Camp!  The kids (and adults) had a lot of fun playing on the ropes course, looking for bones in owl pellets, making candles, and looking for animal tracks. Thank you chaperones, for all your help; it makes it so much more fun when we have a lot of helping hands!

This is just a quick reminder about practicing those spelling words in cursive. As I stated in last week's letter home, the children will be required to complete their work in cursive handwriting in 3rd grade, and therefore, I want to start to get them in the habit of  writing in cursive now. Please help your children form the letters correctly as they practice, so they can write them, and spell them, correctly for the test.

Our butterflies are in the "chrysalid" stage now, and we're watching and waiting for them to complete their transformation. We are reading the story Butterfly Seeds in our Reading Curriculum, which dovetails with this nicely.

Have a blessed week!

Mrs. Hamill
