When you travel places this summer, take time to stop and learn about some of our country's landmarks and monuments. I love to stop at the Arch in St. Louis. The museum under it is amazing and the crazy elevator ride to the top is a unique experience! I'll never forget climbing up, up, up the Statue of Liberty and looking out of the crown. Mount Rushmore is awesome! If you plan to visit there, be sure to drive through Custer State Park. The road with its tunnels carved to display the approach to Mt. Rushmore is breathtaking. The history lessons and the tribute to our country at each of these places is well worth the visits and the time spent. I could go on and on...there are so many memories here.
Personally, we try to visit at least one National Park per year. I like buying a season pass and seeing how many places my family and I can visit in one year's time. Just too much fun! Hmmm...see you on the road!
