 to believe, but October is almost over and the semester is flying by!   Since I
 was not able to sit in on every conference, I would like to let everyone know what
 I have planned for the second half of the semester.  I will write the instructions
 for each art project on the board.   I will present each lesson and review the 
instructions.  The kids will be expected to read the instructions as they work on
 their projects.  When a student turns in their final draft, I will ask them if 
they have followed all of the instructions.  This is their clue that they may have
 missed a step.  I will then suggest they re-read the instructions.  If they turn
 in their project and have not followed all of the instructions, it will affect 
their grade.  It is my goal to have them reading the instructions and correcting
 any missed steps before they approach me to turn in their projects.  This is designed
 to make the kids responsible for their projects and more independent learners.  
By the end of the semester, they should be taking responsibility for all aspects
 of their art projects.\par}

 the school is very limited.  I start at 8am and am done by 10:05am.  In that time
 I must prep, grade and try to keep the website up to date.  Between the 5{\super
th} and 6{\super th} grades, I have 40 students.  This makes it very difficult to
 keep track of everything.  I plant on using Snapgrades for grades etc.  If a student
 does not return his /her progress report, I will note that on Snapgrades.  Please
 contact me and I will send home another copy.  If your child does not bring home
 their progress report, please contact me. \par}
